A Preliminary Economic Assessment and prospecting of 136 square km of recently staked surrounding land held by Global Minerals using modern exploration techniques has begun. |
In late 2010, Esperanza made a strategic investment in Global Mineral Ltd. a publically traded company (www.globalminerals.com), and now has a 29% interest. Global’s principal project is the Strieborná silver-copper-antimony deposit in Slovakia.
The Strieborná Project is located in eastern Slovakia near the town of Roznava, a historic mining town with a skilled work force and the infrastructure to support mining operations. The project consists of two mining leases and three exploration concessions. The Strieborná vein hosts the current economic resource (43-101 Technical Report, AMC Consultants Pty Ltd. 2008).
Global is actively expanding its mineral holdings in the area.
The Strieborná Vein
Strieborná is a silver-bearing siderite-quartz-sulfide vein hosted in Early Paleozoic rocks. The vein strikes north-easterly, has a variable dip from 50 degrees NW to sub-vertical, and varies in thickness from 0.5 to 7.1 meters, averaging about 2.5 meters. The main metals of economic interest are silver, copper and antimony; all contained within tetrahedrite.
Since its discovery in 1981, the Strieborná vein has been systematically explored underground by over 3000 meters of drifts on four levels. This was done under the auspices of Slovakian State Companies prior to privatization. Drifting has defined a total strike length of about 1300 meters, and surface and underground drilling have defined a vertical extent of over 500 meters. The deposit is open in all directions.
In April, 2008 a NI 43-101 technical report on the property was completed by AMC Consultants Pty of Melbourne, Australia. This defined a significant silver-copper-antimony resource which is expected to be economically significant.

| Zygmunt Jakubiak Msc., DIC, FIMMM, C Eng, Eur Geol, MAusIMM is the Qualified Person in accordance with National Instrument 43-101. The mineral resource is based on 394 channel samples taken on four levels, one raise and 10 drill hole intercepts. The estimation was done on a vertical plane parallel to the overall strike of the vein with the block model projected onto it. Ordinary kriging was used for grade estimation. Once grades were estimated the block model was returned to its original position. No cut-off grade was applied. |
Parallel Veins
In addition to the Strieborná vein, the property also includes the Maria Mine (a past producer now on care and maintenance), and three parallel veins: the Mayer, Podlozna and Pallag. These veins have been explored by underground tunneling and drilling. Although known to be mineralized they have not been included in the resource estimate as further exploration is required.
Drilling has identified a separate area of mineralization that is either a distinct and parallel vein or a split of the Strieborná vein. The drill hole intercepted 2.2 meters of 667 grams silver per tonne, 5.1% copper and 3.4% antimony.
Development Concepts
Strieborná is unique in that it is Europe’s only silver-copper-antimony deposit that can be developed in the near future. Underground mining and tailings disposal in existing mined out areas of the Maria vein should result in a small surface footprint. Mineral processing is anticipated to include conventional flotation concentration followed by hydrometallurgical treatment of the concentrate to separate the antimony into a saleable product. The residual concentrate containing the silver and copper will likely be sold to independent smelters.
Infrastructure requirements are minimal. Access to vein currently is available through the existing Maria Mine. Rail, water and power are available at the project. Roznava, the adjacent town, has historically been known for mining. This provides exceptional availability of trained miners, engineers and other needed personnel.
Regional Exploration
Strieborná is just one of over 90 identified veins in the region. Global geologists have instituted a regional program to identify the most promising areas and have consolidated the district with an additional 136 square kilometers of surrounding property. Modern exploration methods of the Roznava District using the Sunshine Mine model has started.
About Slovakia
Slovakia is a full-standing member of the European Union and is a modern, developing country. It has a long standing mining tradition and recently passed new mining legislation which provides a clear and transparent framework to acquire mineral concession and develop mining projects. Slovakia provides an excellent jurisdiction to advance Strieborná towards production in a relatively short time frame.
